Wainwright and Co have been appointed by Northern Gas Networks to provide full design, cost consultancy and project management on the build of a new warehouse and distribution centre in the North East of England.
Northern Gas Networks deliver gas to 2.7 million homes and businesses in the North East, Northern Cumbria and much of Yorkshire and are responsible for 37,000 km of pipeline, making them a major player in the UK utilities industry. The site is situated close to Middlesbrough and employs over 50 staff.
Wainwright and Co will be going out to tender within the next month for all works, which include the build of a new 12,000 sq ft warehouse and office accommodation, along with ground works and demolition of the existing office accommodation. The expected construction programme will be 32 weeks.
Wainwright and Co are currently working with Northern Gas Networks to rationalise the groups portfolio, looking at 24 projects comprising of new builds, refurbishments and re-branding to ensure a consistent look and feel across all their assets.
